Halloween Poem

14580563_10209400304137837_247246832_nRose are red, Violets are blue

Halloween is near, little goblins say “Boo!”

The pumpkins are lit on the front porch with care

In hopes that trick-or-treaters soon will be there

A bowl of candy sits by the front door

Bratty little children scream “More! More! More!”

Pumpkins, ghosts, witches up and down the block

The church bell rings out it is 9 o’clock

Hurry home, kids, back to where you came from

Off to dreams of chocolate, nougat, and sticky bubble gum

The trick on those treaters is pulled late at night

When daddy makes the candy disappear out of sight
