I love apples, and I adore peanut butter, so naturally I enjoy apples and peanut butter together. Add some toasted bread and honey to the mix, and you’ve got yourself a delicious grilled apple and peanut butter sandwich.
- 1 apple
- 2 slices of bread
- Peanut butter
- Coconut oil, butter, or cooking spray
First, grease your cooking pan with the oil, butter, or spray.
Cut the apple into thin slices. Once it’s cut, spread the desired amount of peanut onto one slice of bread, then place the apple slices on top (you’ll have a bit leftover).
I like to put a little bit of peanut butter on the second slice of bread as well, it helps the apples from sliding off.
Press the two slices of bread together. Turn stove burner on to med-hi. Once the pan is warm, gently put the sandwich on.
I cook each side for about 2 minutes, alternating between sides. Just like with grilled cheese.
Once both slices of bread have browned a little (or to your liking), the sandwich is done.
Cut the sandwich in half, and then drizzle with honey. Enjoy!
