How To Make Peanut Butter Birdseed Pinecones (A Great Toddler Activity)

I first learned how to make peanut butter birdseed pinecones in Sunday school as a child, and was happy to teach Maddy how to make them this afternoon. It’s a great activity to do with toddlers because it is so simple, and the birds love it!

All you need is a pinecone (one for each person), some peanut butter, and birdseed.

Smear some peanut butter on the pinecone until it’s covered all around.

Then roll the pinecone in a small bowl of birdseed, until it’s covered.

Ta-dah! You can tie a string around the tip of your pinecone and hang it from a tree for the birds. img_4711
