The Kitchen Beautician: Using Kitchen Ingredients To Your Advantage

It’s no secret that eating fruits and vegetables can help to impart a beautiful, natural glow to your skin. But did you know that you can use some of the ingredients in your kitchen for spa-like treatments at home? It’s true!

For puffy, tired eyes, use cucumber slices or chilled chamomile tea bags to rest on eyes.

For sleek, shiny hair, rinse your hair with about 1 cup of apple cider vinegar after washing hair.  This helps to remove product build-up.

For an awesome, detoxifying body scrub, mix 2 parts salt with 1 part coconut oil. Add a couple drops of your favorite essential oil.

Likewise, 2 parts coffee grounds combined with 1 part coconut oil is great for scrubbing cellulite on your legs to reduce the appearance!

Olive oil makes a great moisturizer, as does coconut oil.

You can make a hair mask by combing melted coconut oil from your roots to tips, then letting it sit for about an hour. Wash the excess out with shampoo. This will make your hair incredibly smooth.

Add a sprinkle of baking soda to your toothpaste for extra white teeth.

After cracking open a coconut, sweep your fingers over the white meat to scoop up some of the oils. Then, rub it into your skin. No kidding! It makes your skin so smooth!

When a small blemish pops up, add a dab of honey to the spot. Honey naturally has antibacterial properties.
