Grilled Apple & Tahini Sandwich


About a month ago I did a blog post about how to make a grilled apple and peanut butter sandwich, which you can find here:

Well, since I was out of peanut butter anyway, I thought I’d recreate the sandwich, only this time with tahini instead of peanut butter. I didn’t whether that’d be a good combo, but only one way to find out. Turns out, it’s delicious 🙂

And for those of you who don’t know, tahini is a paste made from ground sesame seeds.

Start by slicing about half an apple into thin slices. IMG_5098.JPG

Then, spread the tahini onto a slice of whole grain bread. IMG_5099.JPG


Lay the apple slices on top. IMG_5101.JPG

In a small pan, melt a little bit of coconut oil. Cook the sandwich on med-hi heat, until browned to your liking. IMG_5102.JPG

Once it’s done, cut the sandwich and half and enjoy with honey drizzled over top. img_5103
